I can’t stop. The itch is just too great. People have tried to get me to stop, but I just can’t. It’s my drug of choice and there’s no stopping me. Heroin? No. Meth? No. Alcohol? No. No, it’s a much more expensive habit… live concerts.

I love concerts. I just can’t stop! It’s always been like that. I remember my dad dropping me off at a hometown Slipknot show when I was at the ripe age of 13. That’s what started it. I don’t remember much from that night other than feeling I got from seeing this amazing thing called a live concert… no, not a concert, an experience! I got my butt kicked that night but I didn’t care. I was high off of the experience.

From that night on, I started going to too many shows to count. I didn’t care what kind of show it was. Punk? Sure! Metal? Sure! Jazz? As long as there’s nothing else going on that night.

It has been almost 13 years of non-stop live shows. I have seen so many things. Met so many people. Had amazing experiences that some people could only dream of.

It’s time for me to share those stories.

My goal for this blog is to write about the experiences that keep me itching for the high of a live concert. I will try to refrain from judging and reviewing bands, but if you know me, you know that’s going to slip in here every once and awhile. I plan on writing after every show I go to no matter how dumb or small or huge. Every live concert has a new and different experience.

Like what you read? Let me know! Have some pointers for me? Let me know! Hate what you read? Wait a couple nights and try again for a new entry.

Peace and Love,

Langen
