Where in the heck is the day going and how is already noon? Still trucking along like the little engine that could over here but definitely loosing steam so that means it’s time to check out another new song. This one is coming in the form of “My Hero The Homewrecker” from Mecha Mecha.
A fairly new band to the Australian scene, Mecha Mecha wastes no time drawing you into this track with a beautiful violin intro before the rest of the band comes in. Yes, all of our heads went there as soon as I said violin– Yellowcard– and although I definitely think the tone is on track for a Yellowcard comparison (although maybe that’s just the sound of a violin in general), that’s where the similarities end. This song is airy and full of space but also has a driving sense of energy behind it. It’s one of those tracks that, depending on your mood, can either give you a burst of energy or help you find peace in your own mind. Regardless of how you choose to enjoy this song, it will be just that– enjoyed. So check it out and show Mecha Mecha some love!
