My hunt for all things heavy and intense continues this morning. I don’t know what it is. I’m not even in a really bad or stressed out mood (although I’m perpetually stressed, it’s just not over the top as it usually is) but the heavier the better right now and that’s why “Pollador” from Forecast is hitting the spot.
Okay, I promise I’m not loosing it. When you hit play on this track, you’re going to be like, “What the hell is she talking about?” “Pollador” kicks off with a super intricate and beautiful acoustic guitar part that draws you in but, within just seconds, you get the full effect that is Forecast and it hits you like a punch to the gut. instantly that beautiful guitar work is pushed aside as room is made for slightly chaotic yet very melodic guitar work matched with shouted vocals. There’s something super technical about the instrumentation of this track and I love that way that that element isn’t lost in the pure carnage that is the rest of the track. There’s a stunning rise and fall about half way through that really highlights the pure talent and creativity of Forecast so listen all the way through– I promise it’s worth the three and a half minutes of your time!
