Best Bear – “Gaslighter” - Girl at the Rock Shows

I don’t have any cool stories or anything for you this morning but, what I do have, is an amazing track to get your day started off right with! Today is getting started right thanks to “Gaslighter” from Best Bear.

“Gaslighter” is a perfect blend of indie pop and alt rock. There are moments that even have a hint of pop-punk behind them. Whether you pick up on that vibe or not, there’s something undoubtedly sweet about this song, the lyrics, and the video. It just makes you feel good and puts a smile on your face regardless of how out of control your inbox is at the time. I found frontperson Blue’s energy to be subtle but infectious. It’s raw and heart-on-your-sleeve with an undeniable sense of charm and passion behind every word. “Gaslighter” is a chill track but is full of life with a sound that begs to be heard live to truly get the full effect of Best Bear. Although the Philadelphia-based group doesn’t have any dates on the calendar for the Twin Cities, I am absolutely holding out hope that that will change soon.
