It’s already been a day and I’ve already shared out some amazing music to you but I have yet to share out a pop-punk-perfect kind of track. That changes right now with “Alive” from Paper Flowers.
The first single off of Paper Flower’s upcoming debut album ‘Dandelion’, “Alive” is pop-punk-perfection to a T. It definitely has a blaring influence of new-school emo/ pop-punk music like Hot Mulligan and Joyce Manor but there are also clear nods and influences that date back to Blink-182 and New Found Glory. I love the way that Paper Flowers pays homage to the brilliant acts of years gone by while keeping the sound alive by adding their own modern twist to the track. I hear a lot of songs and get stoked about a lot of upcoming releases but I definitely put an alarm in my calendar for when this full album drops in February of 2024. You should probably do the same.
