I don’t care how much you love your job. We all have days where we want to tip our desk over and walk out in a very Office Space kind of way. As someone who did quit their big girl job for a bit to explore the world of self-employment, I can tell you that it’s amazing but also so much work. I definitely do miss it somedays and today is one of those days so “Quit Our Jobs (Live in a Van)” from Endurant is absolutely speaking to my soul right now.

As one would expect with such a bold title, this song is anthemic and fully of a cheeky sort of sass that will instantly make you smile. The lyrics, again, as you may expect, are about saying screw it to everything, packing up all of your stuff, and living in a van. It’s a sarcastic song that talks about all of the issues impacting the world right now from politics to the environment but, even behind that sarcasm is a real message. Do you catch on to it? I won’t give it up and feel like this is one of those tracks that is up for interpretation but I will say that Endurant will have you raising your fits in the air while smirking and singing along to this ridiculously catchy punk-leaning anthem.
