My mind is already on my vacation next week. It’s not that today has been bad but more that this week hasn’t been great and there’s really no hope of me ever feeling caught up this week. That being said, I’m trying my best to not get discouraged and I feel like heavier music is really helping with that so let’s dive into something a bit heavy.

Moveset is an emo/post-hardcore band from Oxford, Massachusetts that just got their start this year. If their new song “Intrusive” is any signal as to what’s to come from this group, I definitely would keep your eyes on this band. “Intrusive” definitely has some nostalgic tendencies to it starting off with smooth but desperate vocals but the beauty of this track comes when the band kicks into high gear and you get to feel the sheer power of MOVESET. Those desperate vocals get a bit more panicked as the instrumentation swells but, all through this quick two minute long song, there’s a sense of fiery passion that just can not be ignored. My only complaint about this track is how short it is but, for a brand new band, the potential is clear and I truly can not wait to see what else MOVESET comes out with in the near future.
