Girl at the Rock Shows

I hate when people try and put me in a box as far as what I listen to. Sure, I love my pop-punk jams and definitely have a soft spot for metal anthems but that doesn’t make me a pop-punk princess or a metalhead queen. It makes me both of those things and more including an indie duchess. Okay, I know an indie duchess isn’t actually a thing but, after hearing “Talk To You” from Moonroof, I’m going to start claiming the title.

“Talk To You” is not an intense song. It’s not aggressive, not in your face, not angsty, it’s just a good ol’ fashioned indie rock song with alt-rock leaning tendencies and it had me hooked upon first listen. Something about this track is just so smooth. From the vocals to the instrumentation, it’s clear that Moonroof put time and thought into every beat of this nearly three-minute long song. At the same times, there’s something carefree and fun about it. This is a perfect song for driving with the windows down but it’s a bit chilly outside today and I’m stuck in the office. That being said, it’s also the perfect song to just blare as loud as you can so it fills your entire space and, within, your heart. This song will catch you, I promise. You may not understand why or how but don’t question it. Moonroof has an amazing sound and “Talk To You” is a perfect gateway into their world.
