Happy Tuesday, everyone! It’s unseasonably warm up here in the Twin Cities today which has me feeling a bit weird but I’ll take it. It’s one last blast of summer before winter inevitably shows itself and, although I’m stoked for cozy nights spent by the fire and huddled up in small venues, it’s kind of nice to have a day where it doesn’t hurt to go outside. Long story short, today is going to be a good day and, if anyone tries to change that for me, I will shut them down instantly because of the weather and all of the amazing music that I’ve been checking out today including “One Wrong Move” from Running Man.

“One Wrong Move” is the first single off of the debut self-titled LP from Midwest supergroup Running Man. What makes this group a supergroup? This band is made up of current of former members of Dead Kennedys, The Wynona Riders, Meth and Goats– the list goes on and on. I love that you can feel that true legendary status through the perfection of this song but you also get a gritty Midwest feeling punk sound from this track as well. “One Wrong Move” isn’t super fast, intense, or anything like that but it is full of life and a sense of nostalgia that will have you wanting to dig back into the year of punk music that you may have forgotten about. At the same time, there’s a fresh take on the sound that keeps this song feeling current rather than dated. If you’re just looking for a good ol’ fashioned punk song, “One Wrong Move” is the one for you!
