Doesn’t the name of this track from Redundancer intrigue you? It put this odd picture in my head of a Western drinking hole where gun slingers are ready to fight but, instead, they are fighting in slow motion making the fight look like more of a delicate dance. So that’s where my head is at right now. How about you?
Regardless of what images that come to mind when you hear the name of this song, there’s no denying the perfection that comes with it. This song is so perfectly gritty, flawlessly energetic and deafeningly yet approachably powerful. Think a little Red City Radio meets a little bit more of a Iron Chic edge with an almost more hard rock leaning undertone. Yeah, it’s fun, it’s catchy, and it’s well done. What more could you ask for? I feel like the overall style of “Gentle Bar Fight Night” didn’t quite fit the picture I had in my head from the song title but that just added another layer of charm to this song. I’m not sure when or if I’ll ever get a chance to see Redundancer live but I know that, if that chance comes along, I will be there, in the front row, rocking the heck out to this track.
