It has been well over a year since I last shared a song from Becoming Bristol with you but that fateful song, “Staring Into the Sun” instantly became a staple to the daily playlist of my life and it still remains there. That being said, I’m so excited to hear yet another amazing track from this band that maybe I can add into the mix.
“Move with the Times” is a song about being a person of principal and, honestly, that idea, alone, stuck with me. I am a rock. I am a rock for my friends, my family, my job(s), everything. I am a rock and I am the type of person who is unapologetically myself (although I apologize a lot but I blame that on living in Minnesota). This song has a sense of power behind it that conveys this idea so perfectly. This four-piece band from Seattle, Washington has found the perfect blend of power and tenderness which is showcased in this song. Although I definitely got that sense of strength and power, I also got something oddly soft considering the message and meaning behind this song. I really liked this because I felt it showed how, although you may be a rock for the things that you believe in, you can still be a bit soft, gracious, kind. Whether or not you get as deep into the message behind this song as I did, I assure you that you will fall head over heels in love with Becoming Bristol when listening to this track.
