We’ve made it to Wednesday. Somehow, this week has both flown by and felt like it’s taking forever, but we’ve made it to Wednesday, and that calls for a celebration in the form of kicking today off with a new song from Always Grounded.
The final single off of Always Grounded’s self-titled EP, due out on Valentine’s Day, “Midnight Drive,” is classic Always Grounded. It has a great nostalgic yet fresh pop-punk sound and more than enough angst to get your blood pumping, even if you’re feeling the weight of the week taking its toll on you. I love how this song is definitely infectiously bouncy but has a serious tone behind it when it comes to the words. Come on now, you know better than to think I’m going to give away the lyrics here, but they are pop-punk perfection as they talk about the struggles of just being. Always Grounded has one goal and that is to create pop punk for everyone. Mission accomplished with this song.
