It’s been a bit since I have shared out a song that I know nothing about so I’m excited to share “Al Candor” from Benévola with you. I can’t understand a word in their description of this song but that doesn’t matter. The power and emotion that comes with this track says it all.
“Al Candor” starts off beautifully with an ambient atmospheric sound that almost lulls you off to dreamland in the best way possible. The beauty in the first thirty seconds of the track is juxtaposed perfectly by the chaos that ensues after. Today has been a rollercoaster of a day and this song fit it perfectly. Those moments of peace and calm followed by moments of rage and panic in a repeated pattern just seemed to suit me perfectly today to the point where I was nearly moved to tears by this track. I can’t explain to you how Benévola pulled it off but someone the tender moments are more tender and expressive than I’ve ever heard before and the raw moments come with a sense of angst that hits you like a ton of bricks. The creativity in the composition of this track is just the cherry on top.
