My current concert bender has been amazing but it has taken a toll on my free time to share out some singles to you. That changes now. Let’s dig into some amazing tracks today starting with “Sit Pretty” from Nora Marks.
This version of “Sit Pretty” is a re-recorded version of Nora Marks’ first ever song. I honestly never heard the first version but this re-recording is seriously perfect. Nora Marks is a Chicago-based trio that has a sound full of anthemic energy and power. This song is proof of that. Overall, this track is more straight up melodic rock than anything else but it brings in elements of everything from punk to hardcore to form a sound that can only be described as Nora Marks. My favorite part of this track is the vocals. They are so full of emotion and power that it’s impossible to not let this song effect you in all of the right ways. Don’t believe me?
