It’s Friday, it’s raining, I’m ready for a nap. Today is a wild card of a day as I really have no plans for after work so why not make it the same way when it comes to the music I share out today. I know I just shared out a heavy and intense piece of art so let’s shift to something a bit more folksy and pop next.

“Nobody’s Got It Figured Out” from Kinger may not feel as heavy as the other song I’ve shared this morning but, let me tell you, it hit me…. hard. This song is about feel overwhelmed and how modern life is constantly living in the fast lane but, at the end of the day, we are all feeling the same and it’s all going to be okay. Kinger’s voice is soothing as if really reiterating the point his is making in this song. The warmth is brilliant and the power subtle but, together, everything in this song comes together to create a truly perfect “I need a breathe” kind of song. What I mean by this is, as soon as “Nobody’s Got It Figured Out” started playing, I felt as if I couldn’t do anything other than listen to it. That’s surprising as there’s no chaos and not really a huge and bombastic hook yet, there I sat, taking in every word as if my heartbeat was connected in a way and, if I took a break from listening, my heart may stop. I know this is all very dramatic but, seriously, take a listen to this brilliant piece from Kinger and try to tell me you don’t feel the same way.
