Girl at the Rock Shows

Happy Saturday! The boyfriend is out of town and the weather is gloomy at best. This means I have plenty of time today to get caught up on all things music including sharing out amazing singles so prepare yourselves to be blasted by song review after song review and album review after album review. Okay, maybe it won’t go quite as planned as my weekends never do but, for right now, all I want to do is check out some new music and you’re about to reap all of the benefits of that starting with “Growing Pains” from Tough Cuffs.

Tough Cuffs is a four-piece group from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a sound that will instantly hook you. Don’t believe me? Try to turn off “Growing Pains” after just a couple of seconds– it’s impossible. This song hits hard right at the beginning with powerful guitars before slightly shouted vocals come in and take this song off. This song is straight-up post-hardcore perfection. It’s intense and slightly chaotic but comes served with so much passion and heart. The words throughout this track are as intense as the delivery of the track making it one of those songs that will hit you super hard and leave you wanting to listen to it a few times before moving on. Okay, maybe I’m the only freak that enjoys listening to the same song over and over again but, regardless, one listen to “Growing Pains” and you will surely want so much more from Tough Cuffs.
