Girl at the Rock Shows

I hope your Tuesday is off to a good start. I’m somehow kind of caught up on work right now (knock on wood) and am ready to fill my day with some new music so let’s just jump right into it with “ACAB” from Edging.

I’ll warn you, this quick and dirty punk song is abrasive and raw but that’s why I like it so much. The first line had me sold and, as this nearly three-minute long song continued, I couldn’t help but fall in love with the attitude of this Chicago quintet. There’s an art behind this track. A slight controlled chaos packed to the brim with angst and aggression in all of the right ways. It’s the kind of song that makes you long for a sweaty mosh pit and one that just begs to be heard live. “ACAB” is off of Edging’s new album ‘Concrete Cumming’ and is definitely an album I plan to spend a bit more time with today. If this song catches you like it caught me, I highly suggest you do the same.
