We all have times when we are sad. Maybe there’s a reason for it, maybe there’s not. Regardless, we all have those strings of days where nothing is okay and everything is dark. “realise (i come alive)” is about what happens when you come out of the darkness. This song from PATCHMARKS_AUS is about when you feel better after being lost in a stint of sadness but I didn’t need to tell you that, this song speaks for itself.

As you may have assumed with my description of the background of this track, “realise (i come alive)” is full of heart, passion, and emotion. It’s a rollercoaster ride of emotion and dynamics that will instantly catch your heart and pull it close to your throat. It’s gorgeous and full of life to the point where realizing that this is a song where it was all recorded and written by just one human is truly hard to believe but believe it. PATCHMARKS_AUS is a solo project as of right now but the hope is that it eventually turns into a band. I’ll be honest, I don’t think that’s necessary. I feel like PATCHMARKS_AUS has a story to tell and a relatable one at that. Adding any other personalities to the mix may muddy that up or may enhance it. Either way, I know that my eyes and ears are glued to PATCHMARKS_AUS to see what comes next.
