NECROTTED is not a new band by any stretch. This death metal band from Southern Germany was founded back in 2008 and has been making some of the most perfect and brutal music ever since. Although “My Mental Castration” has been out for three years, I feel like it’s worth a share.
I know it’s early and it’s a Wednesday but why not start the day off with some pure brutality. After a quick intro, this band jumps into their signature heaviness. I know that insanely dark death metal may not be for everyone, I think everyone can appreciate the expert musicianship showcased in this song. Everything from the drums to the vocals is clear and precise throughout this three and a half minute song. Honestly, that’s a hard thing to do for a lot of death metal bands and often layers can blur together into a mess of pure chaos. That’s not the case with this track from NECROTTED. There’s not a single point in this song with the intensity and insanity turns to mud which is why it really stood out to me as a stellar track to share with you on this sunny Wednesday morning. So start your day with a blast of sweltering energy and intensity in the form of “My Mental Castration”.
