As you may know or have caught on to, I’m not typically one for cover songs but, every once in awhile, I hear a cover and it just hits so hard. Hard enough that I can’t ignore it. That’s the case when it comes to Tommee Profitt’s flawless cover of the classic Linkin Park song, “NUMB”.

Before I get started, let me urge you to check out the video that goes along with the song. I feel like it truly enhances Tommee’s already stellar performance just by seeing the music being felt by the performers in the video. Overall, this song sticks to the original with the undeniable deafening sense of emotion and slight darkness but, at the same time, this song is clearly not the original. Tommee Profitt stretches this song out and seems to emphasize the sadness that can be felt throughout this track. Add the orchestral arrangement happening behind the stunning vocals of Skylar Grey and you are left with a truly masterful cover of an already classic song.
