Girl at the Rock Shows

I’m not letting the stress of today get the best of me but I am definitely feeling time slip away. Somehow it’s already lunch and, although I’ve gotten a lot done, there’s still a lot more to do including checking out some more new music. I’m behind on shouting out amazing singles and I can feel that in my soul because it’s feel restless. I need something new to keep me going this afternoon and “Where’s the Fun” from Black on Blonde is doing just the trick.

Although the basis of the lyrics of this track is reflecting on an overconsumption of fun, I felt that this song reminded me to have fun. It’s punk and gritty in all of the right ways. The almost constant sound of fuzz from the guitarwork acts as a bit of a drone while the vocals take control in all of the best ways. At just two minutes and sixteen seconds long, “Where’s the Fun” is a quick jam. It honestly doesn’t have a specific hook of sorts but rather this entire song will hook you and will make you question, “Where’s the Fun”?
