Vampire Weekend just started playing on my playlists. I don’t know what it is about that band but they just make me happy. This has nothing to do with the next single I have to share with you but I love how that happiness and energy I get from Vampire Weekend continued with “Like It Never Happened” from Vanity Score.

There’s honestly not much to say here other than that “Like It Never Happened” is a true pop-punk-perfect jam. You may not know this about me but one of my all-time favorite bands is Good Charlotte (no shame) and I love how there were moments in this song that felt just like an old-school Good Charlotte track. There are also other moments that have a more Blink-182 vibe and others that come with a bit more of a sharp tongued-angst. Long story short, this song may be less than two minutes long but it features a wide array of influences that will take you back to the days of Warped Tour and skinny jeans and sometimes, on a Wednesday, that’s all we really need.
