It’s hard to believe that it’s Monday again but here we are. I hope you had an amazing weekend and that your week is off to a good start. Just in case it’s a bit rocky this morning, here’s an amazing new track from Down And Out featuring As December Falls that will surely get your Monday back on track.
“Y U Gotta Do Me Like That” is a pop-punk bop through and through. Hailing from Adelaide, Australia, Down And Out is known for their modern take on a classic pop-punk sound and I feel like that is put in the spotlight with this song. “Y U Gotta Do Me Like That” is explosive and full of life with a very Waterparks vibe but a bit more angst behind it. This track is short at just a hair over three minutes long but it packs a punch of catchy choruses and memorable lines of emo-inspired lyrics. I really like the extra serving of angst that the band puts into this track featuring As December Falls. There’s just a little bit more bite to the vocals throughout this song and some of the instrumentation leans into something a bit more aggressive to compliment that bite. Long story short, this song will make you want to bounce around a little bit while also giving you an outlet for that Monday morning moodiness that hits us all when we realize it’s time for another week of the grind.
