Girl at the Rock Shows

I’m honestly a bit nervous about the review I just shard of the show I was at on Saturday night. I had some strong opinions about it and, based on past experience, I just feel like this is one of those shows where the fans will have some strong words about my opinion and will surely try to “Cancel Me”. With that in mind, it seems only fitting that the next song I share with you is the first single from TeethOut.

Why did this feel so fitting? Well, as the band puts it, “Cancel Me is based on the idea that no matter what road you go down or opinion you may have there will be a line waiting to “cancel” that decision. The mental health struggle to stand your ground but rather to give in and just “Cancel Me”. A sad but often followed path.” This song is giving me energy and vibes that has me ready to stand up and take it rather than just give in and I can not thank TeethOut enough for that. Stylistically, this is very The Movielife-esque but with a bit more of a hardcore influence behind it. It’s aggressive but not to the point where it’s in your face. At the same time, there’s a tenderness behind this song that seems to really drive the message of standing up for yourself home in a beautiful way. Whether you are feeling angsty and have some steam to blow off or, like me, find yourself in a situation where you are bracing for impact, you should really check out “Cancel Me” from TeethOut.
