Girl at the Rock Shows

It’s another day where, although I’m getting things done left and right, time is flying by and I’m left with my head spinning as I try to figure out where the time is going and how I’m going to get everything I need to get done today when time is clearly fleeting. More plainly put- I’m trying to “Keep My Head Above Water” which is the perfect reason to check out this aptly named track from It’s Always You.

“Keep My Head Above Water” is a pop-punk-perfect jam with a slight emo hint in it just accentuating the emotion that comes through in this track. Think Blink-182 meets Wonder Years with a little Real Friends angst and you can get close to It’s Always You’s sound but, like so many other pop-punk bands, this is a track that you just have to hear for yourself. If the typical emo-leaning pop-punk lyrics of this track don’t get you, the catchiness of the chorus and that slight aggression that comes with it surely will. This is the kind of song that will get stuck in your head upon first listen to brace yourself and enjoy!
