It’s going to be a weird day today. I think we all already know that. With the election coming to a close tonight, things just feel a bit on edge, a bit sketchy, a bit panicked, and a bit anxious. I know there’s no way I’m the only one feeling that but, thankfully, I have some music that will help snap you out of it starting with “Trouble & Havoc” from Fight Back Mountain.
“Trouble & Havoc” may be short at just a couple seconds over two minutes long but this is a true ripper. Stylistically, Fight Back Mountain bridges the gap between classic rock, street punk, and power pop so perfectly throughout this song. The thing that really stood out to me about this song is the vocals of Adrian Barnello. They are rough and gritty yet emit such a sense of emotion and strength behind them. The turbulence and energy felt throughout this quick track will definitely get you hooked while also giving you an outlet for that panic and anxiety you may be feeling today. This is just the first single from Fight Back Mountain’s latest sessions together so, if you like this, I think it’s safe to assume that there’s a lot more to come. With that in mind, make sure to start following this amazing St. Louis-based band so you don’t miss any other bangers that they put out in the near future.
