Girl at the Rock Shows

I just saw some news about the giant snowstorm taking aim at Colorado. I’ll be honest, I’m jealous. It’s barely even cold here in Minneapolis and I’m in the mood for a good ol’ fashioned blizzard already but there’s no snow in the forecast. This has nothing to do with “Find Me” from Alffa but it’s what’s on my mind and what’s keeping me distracted from getting stuff done. Thankfully, “Find Me” is helping me find my motivation that seems to be coming and going like crazy today.

Alffa is a duo but I bet you didn’t know that upon first listen to their song “Find Me”. This song is intense but not aggressive. The wall of sound that this punchy single brings to the table within just the first few seconds feels like so much more than just a duo. At only two and a half minutes long, this is a short track but it constantly punches you right in the gut with every passing second. It’s brilliant, it’s heavy, it gets the blood moving and, thanks to an oddly placed yet perfectly curated break in the song about a minute in, keeps you on your toes. “Find Me” will be part of Alffa’s upcoming full length album ‘From Ashes’ which comes out later this month. I, for one, can not wait to hear the album as a whole because, if “Find Me” is any indication as to what the other songs will be like, it will surely be an album I play on repeat for quite some time.
