Girl at the Rock Shows

Joker’s Hand is one of those bands that keeps popping into my life. I reviewed their self-titled EP in May of 2021 and then their ‘Pride Before The Panic’ release this past February. Every time they pop into my life, I am floored and excited about the evolution of this band. Although absolutely a fan of this band since the first time I heard them, their newest single, “Damage”, is easily my favorite piece of art from this band thus far.

“Damage” will be part of Joker’s Hand’s upcoming full length album that will be out in the summer of 2025. This is an alt-rock anthem with a stunning amount of heart that comes through with every note and word that this group presents in this nearly four-minute long song. The music video that comes with this song is simple yet I feel like it adds so much to this song. From moments that will make you want to tip over your desk without any thoughts of what could be broken in doing so, to moments where you just wanna dust off that skateboard that you’ve neglected for years and just start going somewhere, “Damage” will absolutely get your blood pumping in the perfect way this morning.
