I made it through the dentist yesterday. That may not sound like a big deal but, for someone with such extreme anxiety over things like the dentist and the doctor, it was huge for me. Although still in a bit of pain, I’m feeling accomplished and like I can take on the world and my epic to-do list so let’s start the day off right and set the tone for the day with an amazing new single.
“Falling” from Left Handed Knives is about the emotional turbulence that comes with a relationship that seems to be a constant cycle of fighting and making up. Although I can’t relate with that right now as my love life is still going strong (wild, I know), I do love the energy throughout this song. Just like the story, this song has a constantly changing vibe behind it. There are moments of triumph followed by a spiral of chaos and intensity. I loved how I was able to take the energy of this song and relate to my life in a different way than maybe intended with this song. The composition of “Falling” seemed to follow the rollercoaster of a regular day for me and I found an undeniable sense of comfort in that. Add the sheer energy that Left Handed Knives put into this song (and all of their songs for that matter), and you are left with a song that will set the tone for your Tuesday perfectly.
