“Scissors” from L’itch is the kind of song that encourages you to grab something near you and throw it at a wall. Although I don’t necessarily encourage this, by the end of this song, I was ready to at least drop a few pens on the group and throw a piece of paper out in the hall which gave me a sense of satisfaction that I didn’t know I needed today.
Although “Scissors” is under three minutes long, L’itch has filled every second of this song with a sense of perfectly curated intensity and flawlessly controlled chaos. The ebb and flow of this quick-moving song will absolutely keep you on your toes. Although I was instantly hooked by the almost theatrical introduction to this song, I quickly fell into L’itch’s world of angst and found myself with an outlet for some pent up aggression that I didn’t even know I had in my head and heart today. I love the way this song is frantic but doesn’t stir any kind of frantic energy inside of you when listening to it. Instead, it just acts as that perfectly anthemic kind of song to help you get through whatever kind of day you’re going through.
