Wolf Rd – “Way Down”– Although this track starts off a bit more slow and dreamy than I typically go for, the way it ramps up into a perfect pop-punk song is just, well, perfect. Catchy and boppy with an endless amount of energy and passion, Wolf Rd hits all of the marks with this new track. The chorus and breakdown of “Way Down” is a bit standard but it’s so well done that it’s impossible to not fall in love with this track if you were ever a pop-punk king or queen.

Salt Money – “Overplayed” — The intensity of this song hits right off the bat which I loved. It’s been awhile since I have heard a song that has the perfect balance of chaos and structure like this and, even though it’s under two minutes long, it absolutely hits you to the core. It’s loud, it’s abrasive and it’s absolutely perfect. Being that it’s so quick, this is the type of song that draws you into a band so set some time aside when you check this one out!
BFT (Bone For Tuna) – “Rainbows” — This song is a bit of a juxtaposition. The vocals are shouted and intense but the instrumentation is almost playful and fun. With clear nods to bands like Drug Church and Touché Amoré, the emotional power behind this song is absolutely staggering and worth your attention.
POOLSHARK – “Someone True” — Looking for a good ol’ fashioned pop-punk track? “Someone True” by POOLSHARK will be right up your alley. Right from the beginning, this song screams classic but it has this odd grunge side to it that is not only surprising but is also perfect.
The Bronze Age – “Let It Burn” — I love this track due to the contrast between the vocals and instrumentation. The instrumentation is heavy but there’s a sweetness to the vocals that conveys an undeniable sense of emotion. The balance throughout this track is beautiful and will make you feel all of the things throughout the brilliant composition.
Like No Tomorrow – “Nothing On Me” — Skate punk lovers listen up. This fast and thrashy track is so full of life and attitude. With nods to classic bands like OFF! and Circle Jerks, there’s something a bit retrot about this track but with a modern twist. I love the speed an swagger that reigns supreme throughout this song.
Fight From Within – “VIVISEPULTURE” — This song wastes no time and instantly jumps into Fight From Within’s intense yet flawless sound. I’m a huge fan of dual vocals which Fight From Within has. That mixed with intense breakdowns scattered throughout the track makes this the perfect song when you need a bit of a kick in the butt to get stuff done or just need to let some aggression out.
Hello Ground – “Welcome To My Brain” — This track is so much fun! With a clear Alkaline Trio influence in everything from composition to vocal style to just overall sound, I loved this. Although the beginning of this track sounds a bit like a carbon copy of A3, you get a taste for Hello Ground’s distinct sound and style as the song plays through.
Kidd Judo – “L.I.E.S (Long Island Emo Song)” — I mean, obviously I love this track based on the song title alone but, really, this is just such a solid song. Although the title would point towards a more emo sound, I got a lot of post-hardcore vibes throughout this three and a half minute set. With guitarwork that belongs in a band like Dance Gavin Dance but vocals with a bit heart and passion that relates back to all of the great emo bands of our generation– this song is all over the place but it goes to all of the right places.

Airship Caravan – “Riot” — Out of all of the tracks thus far on this weekly single drop, this one is the most commercial thus far but don’t get scared away. The swagger in this track is real and the soaring guitars mixed with vocals that grow throughout the track make this a super great list. Full of life and energy, this song will have you rocking throughout your house. I promise.
Speakeasy Streets – “Virus Pirates”– I hate the accordion solely because that’s what my dad plays and it will for always haunt me as he had a tendency to show up at big life events with that godforsaken instrument strapped to his chest but I will still always fall for a pirate themed song which is what this is! This is just too fun to not love and if you can truly listen to this track without smiling then I truly worry about you. Listen all the way through– this song is not just a pirate themed track– there is a huge surprise at the end. Out of all of the single this week, this one is my absolute favorite and I absolutely plan to dig into Speakeasy Streets a bit more.
