I’m honestly not typically one for retro-feeling music. My friends know that I have this thing about old music where I just don’t give it the time of day that it probably deserves but that’s solely because of all of the amazing new music that is out there. The exception to this rule is new tracks that have an old and vintage feel and that’s exactly what you get from “POISON IVY” from HADEE.
Based in south Florida, HADEE. has a very distinct and intriguing sound. There is a sense of new-wave darkness in this third single of his but there are also glimpses into an almost pop-punk sound of this musician. These two elements along with the alt-rock delivery of this track should not go together yet somehow this song is flawless and has a song that is equally addicting and confusing. There’s a little glam, a lot of heart, and a heck of a lot of power behind this song which makes it a great listen if you’re already feeling the weight of the week bearing down on you so check it out and let’s show HADEE. some love!
