It has been a long week. It’s only Wednesday and I was out of town on Monday. What I’m trying to say is I’m dragging and losing my motivation for much of anything. Thankfully, “Sometimes” from Bury My Heart is coming in clutch with a burst of energy.
“Sometimes” blends skate punk, pop-punk, and a bit of hardcore influence perfectly to make a sound that is infectious and fun yet also packs a punch. Honestly, the tempo is a bit slower than I would have expected from a song like this but I feel like that’s something that makes this song stand out. Instead of rushing and trying to fit as much as they can in this two and a half minute long song, Bury My Heart takes their time and gives you a sound that is truly unforgettable. Although there are clear nods to the skate punk scene of the 90’s and early 2000’s, this song feels fresh and is sure to help get you out of the rut you are currently in (if you are in one) or just give you that extra pep in your step that we could all use sometimes. Check it out and show Bury My Heart some love!
