It’s been awhile since I’ve give you a daily dose of pop-punk perfection. Time to change that and I have the perfect song for today’s pick– “Keep In Touch” from Empty Hands.
Although this is absolutely a pop-punk perfection kind of song, it was the slight angst and aggression that comes through in this track that really hooked me. You can hear influences from bands like New Found Glory and The Early November but I also got a little bit of a modern twist with some moments that reminded me more of Trash Boat or Sincere Engineer. Both sides (the nostalgic and new) of Empty Hands are done perfectly and the way the band intertwines these two vibes together is flawless. Beyond just the style of this song is the weight of passion that comes with every word and note. I mean, this song is just drenched in heart making it a quick but impressionable listen that will surely have you wanting to dig into the other two singles and videos that Empty Hands has out there!
