“Punk Rock Ruined My Life” from Thirsty Curses instantly became a staple of my daily playlist when I stumbled upon the track a couple of months ago (you can read my review of the snappy track HERE!). I was so excited when I saw Thirsty Curses come back through my inbox with their new track “I Never Learn”. Although I hadn’t heard this song before, I knew that I was going to love because, well, have you heard Thirsty Curses?
“I Never Learn” is a teaser single from their forthcoming album and to say listening to this song got me all hot and bothered for their full length would be an understatement. With their signature witty songwriting and big sound, I fell in love with this new song as quickly as I did “Punk Rock Ruined My Life”. Although overall this song lacks the angst and aggression I typically look for, I got a deafening level of emotion and realness from this song. From folk to garage rock to even some nods to something ever so slightly heavier in the guitar work, I loved the rollercoaster right that is “I Never Learn”. Regardless of if you’re into heavy, poppy, folksy, whatever– I promise there’s something in this song, and Thirsty Curses in general, for you!
