Girl at the Rock Shows

My day just got thrown into overdrive as I just got word that I am covering a show tonight out in Wisconsin. I am thrilled as I really wanted to cover this show and will be doing photos for it but now my day has completely gone to crap since I will have to leave the day job early, run home to get the cats fed, and then hit the road to get there on time. I should really be rushing through work but, at the same time, I’m too excited about tonight to really focus on anything else so, instead of getting my stuff done, let’s jump into another single.

twentywo. is a punk band from Pennsylvania that features members of Bangarang!, Man Overboard, and Your Best Regret. I feel like you can feel each of those groups in “The Sound” but you get some extra tastiness with it. I get a lot of old-school punk vibes from this track like NOFX and Lagwagon. There’s a sense of controlled chaos throughout this song that makes the nearly three minute long song feel more like mere seconds. Although there is a sense of angst and aggression, twentytwo. never lets this song get out of control or lets the song take them over. You can hear all of the parts loud and clear throughout this song which is just the cherry on top when it comes to “The Sound”. Listening to this song has me intrigued to check out more from this band I hope it does the same to you!
