Girl at the Rock Shows

Everyone has a list of bands that they go to when people ask them about their favorite music. It’s a badge of pride to be able to spit out name after name of amazing local acts that you truly believe in. One of those names for me is Tightwire. I’ve seen them perform a couple of times and they became a constant in the daily playlists of my life so I figured it’s about time I send one of their amazing tracks out to you all and I feel like “One Foot in the Grave” should be that track.

This song is seriously a perfect example of how good Tightwire is. It has the punk attitude and energy that makes this band a stand-out in my life but also shows the sheer talent behind the group which is what makes them one of my favorite local bands. You definitely get a taste of that Midwest punk a la Dillinger Four and Off With Their Heads in this song but you also get something a bit more classic like Screeching Weasel or Smoking Popes from this song. It’s a perfect blend of all things good and has a beat and infectious energy that will surely get your blood pumping and your head nodding.
