Let’s continue exploring bands and acts that have a super unique sound, shall we? If that sounds good to you, then let’s dig into “Lazy Lou” from Concrete Green.
“Lazy Lou” is the story of a 30-year-old stoner who is just trying to find meaning in, well, everything. Although I can’t really relate to the stoner portion of this, I feel like the song overall is more than relatable just because it addresses the struggle of everyday life and whether you’re in a haze of smoke or a haze of anxiety and stress, I feel like we are all kind of in a haze and could use some clean air. You get clean air in this super light and refreshing track. This song feels simple when it comes to the instrumentation but the depth is in the details and it’s beautiful. Another thing I really like about “Lazy Lou” is the playfulness and whimsy that comes through. There’s almost this carefree carnival vibe throughout this song. Don’t believe me? Take a listen for yourself and enjoy!
