I’m a bit panicked right now. I am super excited for the Pink show tonight but it’s outside and, every time I check the forecast, it looks like rain. I’m obviously hoping nothing happens but my luck with outdoor shows lately has been crap so I’m just a bit nervous. I need to get my mind off of it. Obsessing over weather that is wrong 98% of the time isn’t doing me any good so let’s put this energy into checking out some new music starting with “Erase” from WAYS..
“Erase” is just what I needed. This song hits you right off the bat with a very metal/ post-hardcore vibe and doesn’t let up until around half way through the track. Even then, it’s a bit of a rollercoaster ride. The composition throughout the nearly four minutes of this song is brilliant. Although it mostly stays loud and aggressive, there are subtle rises and falls that make it feel beyond dynamic. “Erase” is the second track from WAYS.’s upcoming EP that is set to be released this fall. I’m not sure when they consider fall to be as I know it’s a bit different everywhere but I am absolutely counting down the days until I can get more from this incredibly powerful band.
