Girl at the Rock Shows

Did you know that today is World Penguin Day? I mean, you must be living under a rock if you didn’t. Totally kidding. I honestly had no clue that today is World Penguin Day but liked the reminder from Davey Harris. In celebration of this special day, Davey has just released his new single “PNGN DNCE (KRILL REMIX)” and I have the absolutely honor of premiering it so, without further ado- World: Please meet “PNGN DNCE (KRILL REMIX)” from Davey Harris.

I’ll be honest, I’m not typically one for dance music or dance remixes of any sort but what Davey Harris has done with this track is absolutely genius. The heavy beat throughout this track is contrasted by Davey’s smooth yet glitchy (to fit the vibe) vocals in such a great way. Add a trippy video with penguins being the star of it and you are left with a track and visual that will definitely capture your heart and soul and leave you stuck in Davey Harris’ world for just over six minutes. I know that six minutes seems like a long time for just one song but the constant movement and changes in beats and vibes throughout this track make it an easy one to listen to and a song that will be over before long before you’ve gotten enough of it. Because of this, “PNGN DNCE (KRILL REMIX)” is a perfect song to listen to again, and again, and again, and again and… okay, you get it.

Before I share the video and song with you, I want to share this quote from the genius behind this track- Davey Harris:

“This song was written to help the Antarctic and Southern Ocean Coalition.

It’s a song about Penguins, Krill, and the end of the world as we know it.  If we don’t keep the waters of Antarctica protected from things like over fishing (Antarctica is the world’s air conditioning after all), then we as humans may be doomed.

Steve Davit on Sax (of Marian Hill) and Momentology worked on the remix.

In honor of the penguins, we’re releasing it on World Penguin Day. The remixed song is part of the record, Animals Vol. I, which is a voice for animals who need love and awareness from humans but can’t speak for themselves. “

And now, without further ado, here’s the world premiere of “PNGN DNCE (KRILL REMIX)” from Davey Harris!
