I have a tendency to share out heavier music in the morning before shifting into tracks that are a bit more boppy and poppy for the afternoon but I’m feeling spicy today. Let’s mix it up and start with a flawless poppy bop from EĐĐIE.
Per EĐĐIE, “”Wish I Hated You” is about the feeling of wanting to let go of someone who hurt you, but you just can’t because they meant so much to you”. Although I can’t relate to this sentiment right now, it’s one that is all too familiar for all of us which makes this song hit hard. Another thing that makes this song hit is it’s pure infectious quality that radiates from every beat. From the powerful instrumentation to EĐĐIE’s smooth yet emotive vocals, this song draws you into a world of beauty and triumphant power in such an amazing way. EĐĐIE’s vocals are truly the shining star in this track but, really, the way that the instrumentation backs them up without overstepping is genius. Sure, this song is a bit more commercial and mainstream than I tend to go but don’t let that stop you from enjoying this masterpiece on an early Wednesday morning.
