My Thursday is off to a rough start. It’s been headache after headache, fire after fire, and I’m quickly falling into my pit of despair and self doubt that I loathe so much. I won’t let myself fall though. I’m hanging on for dear life to the edge of the cliff and hoping that “Wizard” from Bad at Drawing will hit me perfectly enough to give me a hand up– no pressure though.
It seems like it was fate that this is the song I kick my Thursday off with as it is “an anthem for the self conscious underdogs”. This message hit me as perfectly as the dazzling guitars and smooth vocals that instantly took over my office and warmed my soul. This song is not fast. It’s not chaotic or furious. That being said, it’s full of life and angst fitting my current mood oh so perfectly. As much as I hate to admit, this song made me feel things and gave me an outlet for my pent up emotions from the morning to the point where I started to tear up as I played through this song for the fourth time in a row.
