Girl at the Rock Shows

I know I just talked about everyone needing an anthemic pick-me-up track to help get you through the day but I also think we all need a good old fashioned pop-punk jam to get us through so, I know I just shared a new song with you, but I’m back with what I think could be your pop-punk anthem for your Tuesday.

I started smiling the second I hit play on “Wishful Thinking” from Farhampton. Right away, this Chicago area band blasts you with a classic pop-punk sound. It’s nostalgic and instantly took me back to the day when Fall Out Boy were kings and I was worshiping everything that Cartel was putting out. That being said, there’s a fresh sense of energy behind this song that keeps it feeling like just another pop-punk bop. The energy is flawless and comes through loud and clear throughout this four minute song. Add a classic pop-punk styled break down about half way through and you are left with a song that will surely get your blood pumping and put a smile on your face.
