Every once in awhile, I feel like I’ve come to terms with the great hacking of 2024. Sure, I lost a lot of followers but my reputation is still here and I still have my blog so that’s a good thing, I suppose. At the same time, that was nearly seven years of work put into my socials all gone in the blink of an eye. That being said, every once in awhile, I feel like I’ve moved on and am okay with rebuilding my socials knowing that all of my posts and everything else are still here. I need a song to help me continue to move on so now feel like the perfect time to check out “Moving On” from Wexford.
Wexford is an emo-based band that dabbles in everything from alt-rock to post-hardcore. I love that and feel like it really comes through in this track from the Sandusky, Ohio band. The only reason I really think the word “emo” fits them so perfectly is the sheer amount of emotion that bleeds through with every beat of this song (and the other songs off of their full length album ‘Silent Key). This song will make you feel everything but, most importantly, will make you feel a sense of comfort like Wexford is your best friend letting you sit there and vent. I know “Moving On” is hitting me especially hard given my current state but I truly think this is one of those songs that will speak to all of you so give it a listen and show this band some love!
