Girl at the Rock Shows

I’m starting to settle into the day after a stressful beginning but now I need some music to help me forget how tired I am after staying out a bit too late last night. Thankfully, “Fuck Me Over” from Little Darkness is full of the energy that I so desperately need right now.

Little Darkness is a classic punk band from Canada. I love how their sound is gritty and raw like a punk band should be but there’s something oddly polished about this. “Fuck Me Over” is an anthemic and fist-pumping kind of song inspired by personal experiences. I won’t ruin what those experiences are because I love the way the music and lyrics helps tell the story here. From the heavy hitting drums to the slightly shouted (but, again, absolutely flawless) vocals, you get the angst and aggression that should come with the lyrical content laid out here. “Fuck Me Over” is fun, comes with a sharp tongue, and will absolutely fill you with a sense of energy even if you, like me, are starting to drag a bit. Long story short, it’s perfect and absolutely worthy of your attention right now!
