Girl at the Rock Shows

Today has already been such a rollercoaster of a day and, honestly, I’m ready to be done with it. I still have a lot to do and there’s still a lot of time left in the day but, honestly, I’m just burnt out. Thankfully, Joybomb’s song “Royal Fever” is breathing life back into me.

There’s something hopelessly optimistic and powerful about this song. Maybe that’s just because that’s the vibe I was looking for as I pressed play on this three and a half minute song or maybe it’s really there. Regardless, “Royal Fever” has this way of casting a shadow of comfort over you as you left the music dance around your head. Although I would say this is pretty standard indie-pop, I love that there are elements of pop-punk and alt-rock hidden throughout the track. The composition, like my day, is a bit all over the place but the organization that Joybomb has with this song is amazing making it a track that will both feel familiar while also keep you on your toes. “Royal Fever” is the focus track from the band’s new EP ‘Modern Scripture’ which is out now so, if you love this, make sure to give the other tracks on this amazing release a listen!
