People have zero patience these days. People also don’t fully read emails or texts. Can you tell that I’m a bit frustrated right now? I just hate that people will ignore something and then blame you when things don’t get done right in a timely fashion because they didn’t do it right the first time around. I also hate how people seem to forget that there is a human behind most emails and that everyone needs a little break and can’t just be a machine. Like I said, lots of steam to blow off and that’s where “Cut You Out” from Borderlines comes in.

“Cut You Out” is the first single off of Borderlines’ new EP, ‘Repair Kit’. It’s the perfect blend of emo pop-punk and aggressive angst while staying infectiously catchy and boppy. One of the main things that stands out to me in this song is just how emotive the guitar playing is throughout this song. I mean, don’t get me wrong, being the lyrics lady that I am, I was absolutely hanging onto every word sung in this track but I just really adore the way the guitar tone also sings and how it creates it’s own storyline in a way. There’s a comforting notion to this song that I needed to badly as I have this mini-breakdown at my desk but there’s also a driving energy about it that is giving me the strength I need to continue on with my day and let the idiots roll off my back. Long story short, “Cut You Out” from Borderlines is perfect and absolutely worthy of your attention right now.
