I was introduced to FINICK when they were a guest on the Mostly MN Music radio show that I co-host from time to time (you can check it out HERE!). It was love at first listen so when FINICK’s new song “Selfish” came across my desk, I knew I wanted to scream it from the mountain to all of you so, here I am, telling you that FINICK is an act to watch and that “Selfish” absolutely deserves your attention.

Admittedly, “Selfish” is a bit more pop-leaning than I tend to go for but there’s just something so cool about this track. It’s rockin’ even though it absolutely is poppy and has an infectious beat that will surely get stuck in your head for quite some time. The instrumentation, although familiar, has this ebb and flow to it that will keep you on your toes and having you struggling to truly put FINICK in just one box. Add the way that FINICK’s voice dances over that boppy beat and you are left with an instant classic that will make you smile, dance, and feel something all at the same time. At only seventeen years old, FINICK is just getting started and listening to “Selfish” over and over again has me so excited about their future.
