Girl at the Rock Shows

Rude people make me laugh. I know it’s frustrating as all get out to deal with them but, sometimes, people are just so rude that you can’t help but laugh at them and wonder who in the heck they think they are. This has nothing to do with the next single I’m going to share with you, more just what’s on my mind and the reason why I need a wee little break filled with yet another amazing new song.

Had Sandy has a very familiar sound to them but also there’s something super unique about it. Right off the bat, I felt Citizen vibes dripping from every beat but those vibes quickly turned into a more chill Balance & Composure feelings before shifting, yet again, into something a bit more intense like Tigers Jaw. Had Sandy’s sound is all over the place which is perfect but the best part of this song is the undeniable sense of emotion and passion that comes through with every passing note. Whether it’s a note filled with angst or one that is twinkly and beautiful, this band does everything in “Vacant” with heart and it’s so easy to feel and hear it. “Vacant” is just one of the songs off of Had Sandy’s debut EP ‘If They All Miss You’ which is out now so, if you like what you hear here, make sure to check out the entire release!
