Girl at the Rock Shows

It’s spooky season and Halloween is right around the corner. I love Halloween but, for some reason, I didn’t decorate for it this year like I have in the past. I blame exhaustion and a super insane schedule but, really, it bums me out a bit. I have so many cute decorations that are just sitting in the basement collecting dust and, at this point, they will just have to wait for next year. That being said, there are some songs helping me get into the holiday spirit including “SSG” from Lost Hentry.

“SSG” isn’t an overtly Halloween-themed song but it is influenced by cryptid horror which gives it a wee bit of a spooky vibe. Stylistically, this song reminds me a lot of System of a Down but there’s something more to it. I love the vocals and how, at times, they are dark and almost drony but then, out of nowhere, they turn into a very primal scream that will surely catch your attention. “SSG” is part of Lost Henry’s new EP ‘Fox & Goose’. The EP, as a whole, is only about twelve minutes long so you can’t tell me you don’t have the time to check it out as a whole and, whether or not you like “SSG” in particular, this EP is worth a listen. The entire thing is a bit all over the place but every song comes with the same intensity and perfection that Lost Henry gives you in “SSG”.
